WoW Skinning Leveling Guide 1 - 600
This WoW Skinning Guide will show you the fastest and easiest way how to level your Skinning profession from 1 to 600. Updated for WoW patch 5.2
Just to note this Skinning guide is not about making gold with skinning, it's just a simple guide which show you the fastest way to level your Skinning.
If you are low on gold, I recommend you to try this Gold Making Guide, it can help you to make loads of gold.
If you are still leveling your character or you just started a new alt, I recommend you to use a leveling guide. You can level your character to level 90 in 7 days with this guide.
This Skinning leveling guide is aimed for higher level players who want to switch their profession at higher levels, but this doesn't mean it's not good for lower level players. Leveling your Skinning will be easy, but it's really boring. You will have to run around and skin hundreds or even thousands of mobs. Skinning is the best combined with Leatherworking, check out my Leatherworking leveling Guide if you want to level your Leatherworking.
Please note that even if a mob is red/orange to you, that this DOES NOT guarantee that you'll get a skill up. It's more likely, but not to be expected every time.

1-60 Skinning Guide
Visit any Skinning Trainer, and learn Skinning Apprentice.
Don't forget to buy a Skinning Knife, it gives you +10 Skinning skill.
Please visit my farming guides if you want to farm leathers for Leatherworking!
Beasts in the immediate starting area can't be skinned because that area is for level 1-6 players and you won't have any profession until you reach level 5.
When you reach 60, visit your trainer and learn the next rank of Skinning.

185-205 Skinning Guide
Visit your trainer as soon as you reach 205. You could probably leave the zones at 200, but there will be a few mobs that are level 41 in Thousand Needles and you need a Skinning skill of 205 to skin a level 41 mob.

300-360 Skinning Guide
Go to Thrallmar and find Moorutu if you are Horde player, he will teach you Master Skinning. For Alliance go to Honor Hold and find Jelena Nightsky. The paths on the map are pretty straightforward. Just follow those paths and when you reach 330, go to Nagrand.
Kill Talbuks and Clefthoofs. You can stop at 350 and go to Northrend, if you want to.
360-450 Skinning Guide
Kill Rhinos.

Kill Gorillas, this place is also one of the best place to farm Borean Leather.

450-500
Learn Skinning Illustrious Grand Master.
At the Pale Roost, stone giants are throwing rocks and knocking down Stone Drakes. When the drakes land, they will have about 50k HP left. They drop only Savage Leather or Blackened Dragonscale, no leather scraps. The drakes have a really fast respawn rate, and for elites, they are very easy to kill.

500-560
Kill Wyrmhorn Turtles near the small lake.

560-600
Kill scorpions at Dread Wastes.

I hope you liked this Skinning leveling guide! Gratz to 600!
Do you want to reach level 90 fast?
I recommend Zygor's Leveling Guide. The guide is in an small window on your main screen in-game. All the detail that you need to complete the quest is included. You’ll never have to switch back to a website, or even the in-game main map to see where you have to go or what’s next. The guide is available for both Horde and Alliance.
I use Zygor's guide for leveling and I highly recommend it.
