WoW Skinning Leveling Guide 1 - 700
Just to note this Skinning guide is not about making gold with skinning, it's just a simple guide which show you the fastest way to level your Skinning.
If you are low on gold, I recommend you to try this Gold Making Guide, it can help you to make loads of gold.
If you are still leveling your character or you just started a new alt, I recommend you to use a leveling guide. You can level your character to level 100 in 8 days with this guide.
Leveling your Skinning will be easy, but you will have to run around and skin hundreds or even thousands of mobs. Skinning is the best combined with Leatherworking, so check out my Leatherworking leveling Guide if you want to level Leatherworking too.
Please note that even if a mob is red/orange to you, this DOES NOT guarantee that you'll get a skill up. It's more likely, but not to be expected every time.

1-60 Skinning Guide
Visit any Skinning Trainer, and learn Skinning Apprentice.
Don't forget to buy a Skinning Knife, it gives you +10 Skinning skill.
Please visit my farming guides if you want to farm leathers for Leatherworking!
Beasts in the immediate starting area can't be skinned because that area is for level 1-6 players and you won't have any profession until you reach level 5.
When you reach 60, visit your trainer and learn the next rank of Skinning.
60-110 Skinning Guide
Do not leave these zones until you reach 110!
110-185 Skinning Guide
When you reach 150, you will have to visit your trainer.
185-205 Skinning Guide
Visit your trainer as soon as you reach 205. You could probably leave the zones at 200, but there will be a few mobs that are level 41 in Thousand Needles and you need a Skinning skill of 205 to skin a level 41 mob.

300-360 Skinning Guide
Go to Thrallmar and find Moorutu if you are Horde player, he will teach you Master Skinning. For Alliance go to Honor Hold and find Jelena Nightsky. The paths on the map are pretty straightforward. Just follow those paths and when you reach 330, go to Nagrand.
Kill Talbuks and Clefthoofs. You can stop at 350 and go to Northrend, if you want to.
360-450 Skinning Guide
Kill Gorillas, this place is also one of the best place to farm Borean Leather.
At the Pale Roost, stone giants are throwing rocks and knocking down Stone Drakes. When the drakes land, they will have about 50k HP left. They drop only Savage Leather or Blackened Dragonscale, no leather scraps. The drakes have a really fast respawn rate, and for elites, they are very easy to kill.
Kill Wyrmhorn Turtles near the small lake.
You can find more farming places if you visit my Exotic Leather farming guide.
Kill scorpions at Dread Wastes.
You can learn the new rank of Skinning from [A Guide to Skinning in Draenor]. You can get this scroll by skinning mobs at Draenor.
Frost Wolfs at Frostfire Ridge have fast respawn rate, probably around 30 seconds. These wolfs are often used for the Barn work orders, so there are usually a few horde players there.
If there are too many players, and you can't farm the Wolfs, there are a bunch of Icespine Stinger nearby, so you can farm them instead of the Wolfs. But, the Wolfs are always better to farm because they drop Sumptuous Fur.
Kill and skin Rockhide mobs.
Spore Drifters at Spires of Arak respawn fast, so it's a really good place for leveling skinning.
I hope you liked this Skinning leveling guide, congratulations to 700!
