Cataclysm Classic Skinning Leveling Guide 1-525

This Cataclysm Classic Skinning Leveling Guide will show you the fastest way to level Skinning up from 1 to 525 in Cataclysm Classic. The guide is aimed at higher-level players who want to switch their profession at higher levels, but lower-level players can also use it.

I recommend trying Zygor's 1-85 Leveling Guide if you are still leveling your character or you just started a new alt. The guide will help you to reach level 85 a lot faster.

1-60

Visit any Skinning Trainer and learn Skinning Apprentice. I recommend Balthus Stoneflayer in Ironforge or Thuwd in Orgrimmar. You can also walk up to a guard in any city and ask where the Skinning trainer is, and then the trainer will be marked with a red flag on your map.

• Don't forget to buy a Skinning Knife! Leatherworking Supply vendors sell it near your trainer or any General/Trade goods vendor. This knife does NOT have to be equipped, but you can't skin mobs unless you have one in your bag.

• If you enchant your gloves with Formula: Enchant Gloves - Skinning, then you can skin an enemy 1 level higher than you normally would be able to do so.

• Please note that even if a mob is red/orange to you, it DOES NOT guarantee you'll get a skill up! It's more likely, but not to be expected every time.

60-110

Visit your trainer and learn the next rank of Skinning. Do not leave these zones until you reach 110!

110-185

When you reach 150, you will have to visit your trainer.

185-205

Visit your trainer as soon as you reach 205. You could probably leave the zones at 200, but there will be a few mobs that are level 41 in Thousand Needles, and you need a Skinning skill of 205 to skin a level 41 mob.

205-265

Thousand Needles

265-300

Un'Goro Crater

Outland (300 - 350)

You can learn the Master Skinning skill from these trainers:

• Horde: Moorutu in Hellfire Peninsula at Thrallmar. He's near the inn, hiding behind a mammoth bone.
• Alliance: Jelena Nightsky in Hellfire Peninsula at Honor Hold. She's in the inn, right before the stairs.
• Both factions can also learn it from Seymour in Shattrath City.

300 - 330

Start with skinning the Starving Helboars around Zeth'gor until you reach 305. Once you reach 305, you can head to the next part and start skinning Deranged Helboars, and at around 310, you can head over to the next part to skin Razorfang Hatchlings and Razorfang Ravagers.

Hellfire Penninsula

330 - 350

Kill and skin Talbuks and Clefthoofs around the marked area.

Nagrand

Northrend (350-450)

You can learn Grand Master Skinning skill from these NPCS:

Both factions can learn it from Derik Marks at Dalaran.

350 - 395

You will find packs of Wooly Rhino Matriarchs and Wooly Rhino Calf roaming north and south of Warsong Hold. The respawn rate is quick, so you should never run out of mobs to kill.

I think it's better to farm north of Warsong Hold, but if someone is already farming there, you can farm in the south.

Borean Tundra

395 - 450

You will find a lot of Hardknuckle Foragers and Hardknuckle Chargers around Frenzyheart Hill in Sholazar Basin.

Sholazar Basin

Cataclysm Zones (450-525)

Learn Skinning Illustrious Grand Master from Maris Granger in Stormwind City or Thuwd in Orgrimmar.

450-500

Mount Hyjal

500-525

Any of these places are good for leveling to 525.

Tol Barad Peninsula

The Tol Barad is located with the rest of the Cataclysm zone portals (just above the Valley of Wisdom in Orgrimmar and on the island to the north-east of the Dwarven District in Stormwind).

This a good place to farm if you can't solo Firelands. Kill Darkwood Lurkers and Darkwood Broodmothers around the marked area.

Tol Barad

This is also an excellent place to farm. Kill Baradin Crocolisk around the marked area.

Twilight Highlands

Animals southeast of Kirthaven: Highland Worgs, Highland Elks, Tawny Owls, and Untamed Gryphons
