Light Leather Farming Spots
This Light Leather farming guide is made to help you farm Light Leather. I decided to search for places with high density of mobs which I can skin and drop Light Leather. I traveled around Azeroth, and after a while I made a list of places.
So, where to farm Light Leather?
This leather can be skinned from beasts ranging up to level 27, but the higher the mob's level is, the higher the chance that you will get Medium Leather instead of Light Leather, and if you farm lower level mobs, you have higher chance to get [Ruined Leather Scraps]. Leatherworkers with the required training can make Light Leather by combining three Leather Scraps.
Before you go anywhere, clear your bags first. That’s because for skinning the animals, you need to loot them first. This means you will gather a lot of junk stuff filling your bags.
Elwynn Forest - Alliance
Wetlands - Alliance or level 85 Horde
- Mob levels: 24-25
- Skinning required: 125
A good place to farm Light Leather is on the road east of Greenwarden's Grove in Wetlands, there is a fight going on there between Dragonmaw Whelpstealers and Ebon Slavehunters. Ebon Slavehunters are skinnable and they respawn extremely quickly.
Hillsbrad Foothills - Horde
- Mob levels: 19-20
- Skinning required: 100
For Horde players, the best place would be in Hillsbrad Foothills. The mobs you will be looking for are the Infested Bears. The respawn rate is fast and they drop 1-2 Light Leather or one Medium Leather.
Loch Modan - Alliance
- Mob levels: 16
- Skinning required: 60
Another geat place for Alliance players is in Loch Modan, go around and kill Mudbelly Boars and other beasts around this area.
