Vanilla Enchanting Leveling Guide 1-300

This Enchanting leveling guide will show you the fastest way how to level your Enchanting skill up from 1 to 300 as inexpensively as possible.

Professions skills are split between expansions now, you'll have a separate skill bar for each expansion. This guide is for the "Vanilla" Enchanting skill in the current retail version of World of Warcraft. I have a separate guide for Classic WoW, so if you are looking for that, visit my Classic WoW Enchanting Leveling Guide.

Often the materials are based on a case that you will gain one skill point each craft. This won't happen, so you will have to buy a few extra materials while you are leveling your Enchanting.

I recommend using Zygor's 1-60 Leveling Guide if you are still leveling your character or you just started a new alt. The guide is in a small window on your main screen in-game. All the detail that you need to complete the quests are included. You’ll never have to switch back to a website, or even the in-game main map to see where you have to go or what’s next. And if you are low on gold, I recommend trying this Gold Making Guide, it can help you to make a lot of gold.

Approximate Materials Required for 1-300:

  • 1 x Copper Rod
  • 1 x Lesser Magic Essence
  • 134 x Strange Dust
  • 10 x Greater Magic Essence
  • 10 x Simple Wood - vendor
  • 25 x Lesser Eternal Essence
  • 170 x Light Illusion Dust - (or 57 Rich Illusion Dust since you can convert them)
  • 220 x Rich Illusion Dust
  • 45 x Greater Eternal Essence

Visit my Classic WoW Enchanting leveling guide 1-300 if you are looking for the Classic WoW guide. Profession skills are split between expansions in the latest World of Warcraft expansion, you'll have a separate skill bar for each expansion, and you can level them separately. This guide is for the "Vanilla" Enchanting skill in Shadowlands.

Learning Enchanting

Walk up to a guard in any of these major cities below and ask where the Enchanting trainer is located.

Horde: Orgrimmar, Thunder Bluff, Silvermoon City, Undercity
Alliance: Stormwind, Ironforge, Darnassus, The Exodar

After you ask the guard, the trainer will be marked with a red mark on your map.

1 - 110

Blood Elf characters have +10 Enchanting skill because of their passive [Arcane Affinity]. An extra 10 Enchanting skill means recipes stay orange for 10 more points, so you can save a lot of gold by doing lower level recipes for 10 more points.

You can put enchants on an [Enchanting Vellum] if you can't put it on your own armor because it's too high level. Enchanting Vellum is sold by General Goods vendors or Enchanting Supply vendors near your trainer.

  • 1-2
1 x [Runed Copper Rod] - 1 Copper Rod, 1 Strange Dust, 1 Lesser Magic Essence

You can buy the [Copper Rod] from the Enchanting supply vendor near your trainer.

  • 2-90
105 x [Enchant Bracer: Minor Health] - 105 Strange Dust

This recipe will be yellow for the last 20 points, so you might have to craft a few more.

  • 90-100
10 x [Enchant Bracer: Minor Stamina] - 30 Strange Dust

If the Strange Dust is cheap and the Greater Magic Essence is too expensive on your realm, you can make this Enchant up to 120.

  • 100-110
10 x [Greater Magic Wand] - 10 Simple Wood, 10 Greater Magic Essence

You can buy Simple Wood from Enchanting Supply vendors near your trainer, or any Generals Goods vendor.

110 - 225

  • 155-180
    40 x [Enchant Bracer - Lesser Strength] - 80 Light Illusion Dust

Read the 110-135 part if you started the guide from this point. There is a location listed there for this recipe.

This one turns yellow at 165. However, if 2 Light Illusion Dust is a lot cheaper than 4 Lesser Eternal Essence, keep making these until 185. If it's not then at 165 switch to:

  • 180-220
50 x [Enchant Bracer: Strength] - 50 Light Illusion Dust

This recipe will be yellow for the last few points, so you might have to craft more than 50.

225 - 300

I hope you liked this Enchanting leveling guide, congratulations on reaching 300!
