MoP Classic Enchanting Leveling Guide 1-600

This MoP Classic Enchanting leveling guide will show you the quickest and most efficient way to level your Enchanting skill up from 1 to 600 in Mists of Pandaria Classic.

Shopping List

Below is an approximate list of materials you will need to level Enchanting from 1 to 600. These numbers are estimates and may vary slightly depending on skill-up chance and recipe availability.

Tip: When buying Essences, don't search the full name. For example, search for just "Planar Essence" instead of "Greater Planar Essence". This way you'll see both Greater and Lesser versions. Remember, 1 Greater can be turned into 3 Lesser, so sometimes it's much cheaper to buy the Greater ones.

Classic

You can buy these recipes before you start, but you can also get them later while leveling, once you reach the required skill levels.

Enchanting Macro for Faster Leveling

I highly recommend using this macro to speed up the leveling process.

This macro casts the selected enchant and automatically applies it to an Enchanting Vellum in your bags, then confirms the prompt without any extra clicks.

How to Use

Make sure you have Enchanting Vellum in your bags. You can buy them from Enchanting Supply vendors. Don't buy them from the Auction House!

  1. Place the macro on your action bar
  2. Open your Enchanting profession window
  3. Select the enchant you want to craft (make sure it's the right one)
  4. Press the macro repeatedly

This method lets you level much faster without having to click the enchant and vellum manually each time.

Leveling MoP Enchanting

1 - 50

Blood Elf characters have +10 Enchanting skill because of their passive Arcane Affinity. An extra 10 Enchanting skill means recipes stay orange for 10 more points, so you can save a lot of gold by doing lower level recipes for 10 more points.

    1x Runed Copper Rod - 1 Copper Rod, 1 Strange Dust, 1 Lesser Magic Essence

    Copper Rod is sold by Trade Good, Trade Supply, and Enchanting Supply vendors, don't buy the rod from the Auction House. The vendors are usually near your trainer somewhere.

Journeyman Enchanting

Visit a trainer to learn Journeyman Enchanting. (Requires level 10)

50 - 135

    40x Enchant Bracer: Minor Health - 40 Strange Dust

    If Strange Dust is cheap and Greater Magic Essence is expensive on your realm, you can make this Enchant up to 120.

    10x Greater Magic Wand - 10 Simple Wood, 10 Greater Magic Essence

    Simple Wood is sold by Trade Good, Trade Supply, and Enchanting Supply vendors, don't buy it from the Auction House. The vendors are usually near your trainer somewhere.

Expert Enchanting

Visit a trainer to learn Expert Enchanting. (Requires level 20)

135 - 225

Artisan Enchanting

Visit a trainer to learn Artisan Enchanting. (Requires level 35)

    27x Enchant Shield: Greater Stamina - 135 Dream Dust

    The recipe is sold by Daniel Bartlett at Undercity, and by Mythrin'dir at Darnassus.

    IMPORTANT! The recipe binds when picked up! Don't make the mistake of trying to buy it with an alt and mail it. It's also limited in supply, this means you have to wait if someone bought it before you.

Burning Crusade Classic (300-350)

Visit a trainer to learn Master Enchanting. (Requires level 50)

300 - 350

    10x Enchant Shield - Resilience - 10x Large Prismatic Shard, 40x Lesser Planar Essence

    Free 335-345 for Blood Elves

    There is an alternative cheap method for the 335-345 part, but only Blood Elves can benefit from it.

    Your racial passive skill Arcane Affinity allows you to gain ten free skill ups by converting a Large Prismatic Shard into three Small Prismatic Shard and back again.

    Only the conversion from one Large Prismatic Shard to three Small Prismatic Shards is affected by this. Therefore, you will only have the chance to gain skill-ups half of the time (since the other half of the time, you'll be converting back to three Small Prismatic Shards). The recipe will be grey, and you won't gain skill points for every craft! The chance of gaining skill points is very low. It will probably take 10-15 minutes to gain the 10 free skill points.

    The Formula: Large Prismatic Shard is sold by these NPCs, and the Small Prismatic Shard recipe is taught by your trainer.

    13x Superior Wizard Oil - 39 Arcane Dust, 13 Nightmare Vine, 13 Crystal Vial

    The recipe is sold by Madame Ruby at Shattrath City. It's yellow already when you learn it, so you might need to make a few more.

    You can buy Crystal Vial from trade supply or alchemy supply vendors.

    Make more Shield - Resilience if you don't have Nightmare Vine.

Grand Master Enchanting

Visit a trainer to learn Grand Master Enchanting. (Requires level 65)

350 - 390

  • 375-390
    15x Gatherer - 15x Greater Cosmic Essence

390 - 405

15x Abyssal Shatter - 15x Abyss Crystal

Use the dusts and essences you get from shattering the crystals to level enchanting up to 425, then sell the rest at the Auction House. If your level is high enough, you can get Abyss Crystal from old raid instances at Northrend. 10man is a lot easier, but I recommend Naxxramas 25man if you can handle it. (25man drops 4 epic instead of 2)

Make the enchants below if you can't farm or buy Abyss Crystal:

3x Enchant Boots - Icewalker - 24x Infinite Dust, 3x Crystallized Water
3x Enchant Cloak - Superior Agility - 27x Infinite Dust

405 - 426

    3x Precision - 12x Greater Cosmic Essence

Cataclysm (426 - 500)

Visit a trainer to learn Cataclysm Enchanting skill. (Requires level 75)

426 - 500

MoP Classic Enchanting (500 - 600)

Visit your trainer to learn the new MoP Classic Enchanting skill. You don't have to go to Pandaria to learn the MoP Enchanting skill or recipes, any Enchanting trainer in the old capital cities can teach it.

    Make 2 Ring Enchants - 4 Spirit Dust

Darkmoon Faire Free +5 Profession Skill

Check your Calendar in-game to see if the Darkmoon Faire is open. The event is available every two weeks. It starts on Sunday and lasts for a week.
