Classic WoW Tailoring Leveling Guide 1-300

This Classic WoW Tailoring guide will show you the fastest and easiest way how to get your Tailoring skill up from 1 to 300.

Tailoring uses cloths as main materials, but you don't need any gathering profession to gather cloths, so Tailoring can be combined with any gathering profession. One other popular choice is Enchanting because you can craft a bunch of cloths then disenchant them and use the dusts and essences to level your enchanting.

Classic Tailoring Trainer Location

To become an Apprentice Tailor you need to reach level 5 and find a Tailoring trainer.

Just click on any of these links below to see the trainer's exact location. You can also walk up to a guard in any city and ask where the Tailoring trainer is, then it will be marked with a red flag on your map

Horde trainers:

Alliance trainers:

Classic Tailoring Leveling - (1 - 75)

  • 1 - 45
102 x Bolt of Linen Cloth - 204 Linen Cloth

Stop making these if you reach 45 and only make more if you need them.

  • 40 - 70
40 x Linen Belt - 40 Bolt of Linen Cloth, 35 Coarse Thread

Journeyman Tailoring (75 - 125)

Visit your trainer again and learn Tailoring Journeyman. (Requires level 10)

  • 100 - 110
13 x Simple Kilt - 52 Bolt of Linen Cloth, 13 Fine Thread

Expert Tailoring (125 - 200)

To become an Expert Tailor you need to reach level 20 and level up Tailoring to 125, then find an Expert Tailoring trainer.

Horde players can learn it from Josef Gregorian in Undercity and Alliance players can learn it from Georgio Bolero in Stormwind City.

  • 145 - 160
15 x Azure Silk Hood - 30 Bolt of Silk Cloth, 30 Blue Dye, 15 Fine Thread
  • 160 - 170
10 x Silk Headband - 30 Bolt of Silk Cloth, 20 Fine Thread

Artisan Tailoring (200 - 300)

To become an Artisan Tailor you need to reach level 35 and level up Tailoring to 200, then find an Artisan Tailoring trainer.

Horde players can learn it from Daryl Stack in Hillsbrad Foothills at Tarren Mill. He's in the building directly to the East of the Inn.

Alliance players can learn it from Timothy Worthington in Dustwallow Marsh at Theramore Isle. He is at the top floor of a small building that is the first on the left after getting off the boat.

  • 260 - 280
    25 x Runecloth Belt - 75 Bolt of Runecloth, 25 Rune Thread

You can start making Runecloth Bag instead of Runecloth Belt if you are going to sell them at the Auction House. The bags are more expensive to make, but you can get most of your gold back. Make the belts if you don't want to bother selling that many bags.

Pattern: Runecloth Bag is sold by Qia in Winterspring at Everlook. It's a limited supply recipe, so if someone bought if before you, then you have to wait for it to respawn. I'm not sure about the exact respawn timer. (or buy it from the Auction House)

  • 280 - 290
18 x Runecloth Bag - 90 Bolt of Runecloth, 36 Rugged Leather, 18 Rune Thread

Pattern: Runecloth Bag is sold by Qia in Winterspring at Everlook. It's a limited supply recipe, so if someone bought if before you, then you have to wait for it to respawn. I'm not sure about the exact respawn timer. (or buy it from the Auction House)

  • 290 - 300
18 x Runecloth Gloves - 74 Bolt of Runecloth, 74 Rugged Leather, 18 Rune Thread

Recipe goes yellow at 290, get enough materials for 18.

Pattern: Runecloth Gloves is sold by Qia in Winterspring at Everlook. It's a limited supply recipe, so if someone bought if before you, then you have to wait for it to respawn. I'm not sure about the exact respawn timer. (or buy it from the Auction House)

WoW Leveling Guide 1-60 Do you want to reach level 60 fast?

I recommend Zygor's Leveling Guide. The guide is in a small window on your main screen in-game. All the detail that you need to complete the quest is included. You’ll never have to switch back to a website, or even the in-game main map to see where you have to go or what’s next. The guide is available for both Horde and Alliance.

I use Zygor's guide for leveling and I highly recommend it.
