Outland Blacksmithing Leveling Guide 1 - 75

This Outland Blacksmithing leveling guide will show you the fastest way how to level your Outland Blacksmithing skill up from 1 to 75 as inexpensively as possible.

Often the materials are based on a case that you will gain one skill point for each craft. This won't happen, so you will have to buy a few extra materials while you are leveling your Outland Blacksmithing.

Outland Blacksmithing Trainer

You can learn Outland Blacksmithing from Zula Slagfury in Shattrath City. (Use the Shattrath portal in your faction's portal room at Orgrimmar/Stormwind)

Approximate Materials Required

This is just a fraction of the materials required. The 60-75 part is not included in the list below because there are three ways to level between 60 and 75. You can read more about this when you get to 60.

Leveling Blacksmithing

Lightforged Draenei characters have +10 Blacksmithing skill because of their passive Forge of Light, and Dark Iron Dwarves have +5 from Mass Production. An extra 5 or 10 Blacksmithing skill means recipes stay orange for 5 or 10 more points, so you can save a lot of gold by doing lower-level recipes for a few more points.

Some of these recipes below are yellow/green, so you will not gain skill point every time. These are approximate numbers, you might need to make more or fewer.

  10 x Fel Iron Plate Belt - 40 Fel Iron Bar

  5 x Fel Iron Plate Boots - 30 Fel Iron Bar

• 25 - 35
  45 x Lesser Rune of Warding - 45 Adamantite Bar

35 - 40

5 x Adamantite Cleaver - 40 Adamantite Bar

This recipe is sold by Aaron Hollman at Shattrath. It's a limited supply item, so if someone bought it before you, you have to wait for it to respawn. (5-10minutes)

40 - 50

45 x Lesser Ward of Shielding - 45 Adamantite Bar

The recipe is sold by Rohok (Horde) at Hellfire Peninsula, and by Mari Stonehand (Alliance) at Shadowmoon Valley. It's a limited supply item, so you have to wait if someone bought it before you. (15-60min respawn time).

It's green for the last 5 points, so 25 is just an approximate number. You might need to make more or fewer.

50 - 60

45 x Adamantite Weightstone - 45 Adamantite Bar, 90 Netherweave Cloth

This recipe is green for the last 5 points, so 25 is just an approximate number. You might need to make more or fewer.

You can buy the recipe from Fedryen Swiftspear at Zangarmarsh. It requires Honored reputation with the Cenarion Expedition faction.

You can get Honored Cenarion Expedition if you clear Heroic Steamvault, Underbog, and Slave Pens once, then clear Normal Steamvault a few more times. Takes about 30 minutes to reach Honored. (kill every trash mob in the instances)

Multiple ways to level from 60 to 75

You can level to 75 with 3 different methods. Read each part and check the Auction House which one is cheaper, or decide for yourself which one is easier to farm.

First of all, you should check your reputations and look for "The Scryers" or "The Aldor" faction to see which one you choose after the City of Light quest. If you are Unfriendly with one of them, then you selected the other one, and you should have Neutral or higher reputation with that faction.

The only exception if your race is Draenei or Blood Elf. Blood Elves start at Friendly with the Scryers, and Unfriendly with the Aldor. Draenei start at Friendly with the Aldor, and Unfriendly with the Scryers, even if they didn't finish the quests below.

If you are Neutral with both of these factions, then you are lucky, and you can still select a faction.

• Find Haggard War Veteran in Shattrath City and pick up the quest A'dal.
• After you complete the quest, you can pick up City of Light from Archmage Khadgar.
• City of Light takes 8-9 minutes to complete. You have to follow Khadgar's servant around Shattrath City, but if you get too far the quest will fail, and you will have to restart the whole quest
• WARNING: Make sure you turn off any auto quest turn-in addons. The addon will pick the first one in the next step. (which is Aldor)
• After you complete the quest, you can pick Allegiance to the Aldor or Allegiance to the Scryers.

Approximate materials for each way

Picking Scryers is usually cheaper than Aldor, so I recommend going with Scryers. But you should get your calculator, go to the Auction House and calculate the price of each.

NOTE: These are approximate numbers. Every single recipe is green for the last few points, so I wrote lower materials numbers here, you will probably need more, depending on your luck.
