WotLK Classic Herbalism Leveling Guide 1-450

This WotLK Classic Herbalism leveling guide will show you the fastest way to level Herbalism from 1 to 450 in Wrath of the Lich King Classic.

I recommend trying Zygor's 1-80 Leveling Guide if you are still leveling your character or you just started a new alt. The guide will help you to reach level 80 a lot faster.

Leveling Herbalism

Don't forget to turn on the Herb tracking on your minimap!

1 - 70

Every starter zone is filled with herbs, it doesn't really matter which one you choose.

Herbs in these zones: Peacebloom, Silverleaf, Earthroot

70 - 115

Learn Herbalism Journeyman from your trainer.

Herbs in these zones: Mageroyal, Briarthorn, Stranglekelp

Stranglekelp requires herbalism 85, so you can't pick them right away.

This zone is so big that you can use more than one route here.

115 - 170

Don't forget to visit your trainer and learn Expert Herbaslim when you reach 150! (Requires level 10)

Herbs in these zones: Bruiseweed, Wild Steelbloom, Stranglekelp, Kingsblood, Liferoot

Kingsblood requires herbalism 125, and Liferoot requires herbalism 150, so you can't pick them immediately. You should only go to the red zone/lines after you pass 150.

170 - 205

Herbs in these zones: Kingsblood, Liferoot, Fadeleaf, Goldthorn, Khadgar's Whisker

Khadgar's Whisker requires herbalism 185, so you can't pick them immediately.

205 - 230

Visit your trainer and learn Herbalism Artisan. (Requires level 25)

Herbs in these zones: Purple Lotus, Firebloom

230 - 270

Herbs in Hinterlands:Sungrass, Purple Lotus, Ghost Mushroom, Golden Sansam

I marked a cave with a red X on the map. There is a bunch of Ghost Mushrooms in the cave, but you can only pick them with herbalism skill 245.

Hinterlands

270 - 300

Herbs in Felwood: Sungrass, Gromsblood, Golden Sansam, Dreamfoil, Mountain Silversage, Plaguebloom

Felwood

Outland (300-350)

You can learn the new TBC Herbalism skill from the Master Herbalism trainers in Hellfire Peninsula. (Requires level 40)

  • Horde players can learn it from Ruak Stronghorn at Thrallmar. He is in the big tower up the hill. /way 52.2, 36.3
  • Alliance players can learn it from Rorelien at Honor Hold. She's on the first floor in the Wizard's tower. /way 53.6 65.8

300 - 315

I recommend getting your first 15 points in Hellfire Penninsula until you can pick Dreaming Glory.

Hellfire Peninsula

315 - 325

You can level up to 325 in Hellfire Penninsula too, but I would recommend Nagrand or Blade's Edge since you will be getting more outland herbs in these zones.

Blade's Edge Mountain

Nagrand

325 - 350

Felweed and Dreaming Glory give skill points up to 375, so you could stay in the previous two zones too.

Terokkar Forest

350 - 375 (Optional)

You can start picking Goldclover at Northrend with 350 Herbaslim skill, so this step is optional. The reason I recommend staying at Outland until 375 is because you won't be able to pick Tiger Lily yet. If you have no competition at Outland, you can get the remaining 25 points pretty quickly by doing 1 or 2 laps at Netherstrom. (only do this if you have a Flying mount)

Netherstorm

WotLK Classic (350-450)

You can learn the new WotLK Classic Herbalism skill from these trainers below. (Requires level 55)

Both factions can learn it from Dorothy Egan at Dalaran.

Horde:

Alliance:

350 - 400

Tiger Lily requires herbalism 375, so you won't be able to pick it yet.

If you don't have a flying mount I recommend skipping the parts around Utgarde Keep in the middle.

Pretty easy to follow route, it's basically the same with or without Flying mount.

Grizzly Hills has a lot more Tiger Lily than Borean Tundra and Howling Fjord, so it's a bit more annoying leveling here until you reach 375.

400 - 435

The most common herb in Sholazar Basin is Adder's Tongue, but you will also find some Goldclover and Tiger Lily.

I mainly use this route, but if you prefer to farm the whole zone, you should use route 2.

This is basically the same as route 1 but also loops around the south-eastern part of the map.

435 - 450

The Storm Peaks

Congratulations on reaching 450! Please send feedback about the guide if you think there are parts I could improve or if you found typos or errors!
