Wintergrasp
Wintergrasp is the best zone for farming Saronite Ore in WotLK Classic, but it can get pretty crowded because many people use this zone for farming.
You can't use flying mount when the battle for Wintergasp is in progress, so it's not that great during the battle. If you don't join the queue, you will get teleported out of the zone.
Sholazar Basin
Sholazar Basin is also an excellent zone for farming Saronite Ore.
Storm Peaks
The biggest downside to Storm Peaks is that there are a lot of caves, so it can get frustrating when you try to get to the mining nodes.
Icecrown
When you get to Icecrown Citadel, go under the citadel, there are gaps in the wall.
