Rising Glory Farming

I made this Rising Glory farming guide to help out players who want to farm the herbs instead of buying them from the Auction House.

There are no herb ranks in Shadowlands, so the only thing that will affect how many herbs you gather is your herbalism skill. You can farm Rising Glory with Shadowlands Herbalism skill 1, but you will get more herbs with higher herbalism skill.

Farming Tips

Below you will find a few tips that will help you gather herbs faster.

Unfortunately, there are no new Stirrups or Leather Barding recipes in Shadowlands, so gathering herbs will be a lot harder for most classes.

How to avoid getting dismounted

One of the most annoying things in WoW is getting Dazed. Every mob has a chance to daze you when they are in hitting you from behind, but there are two ways to prevent getting dazed.

  • If your class has a tanking spec, you can switch to that while farming. Tanks are immune to daze, so you will never get dismounted.
  • Equipping a Comfortable Rider's Barding in your mount equipment slot prevents you from being dazed while mounted. (doesn't work with druid forms)

Gather herbs while mounted

  • Druids can gather herbs in travel form.
  • The Sky Golem mount lets you gather herbs while mounted. (this mount doesn't benefit from mount equipment)

Shadowlands Gathering Enchant

You can enchant your gloves with Enchant Gloves - Shadowlands Gathering to increase the speed of gathering in the new Shadowlands zones. (works with mining and skinning too) The enchant brings gathering time down from 1.5 seconds to 0.5 seconds. This is a must-have enchant if you gather while mounted because mobs can still interrupt your casting, and daze you, so you want to grab herbs as fast as possible.

Where to Farm Rising Glory

Rising Glory is a zone-specific herb, it only grows in Bastion. Below you will find the two farming routes that I use for farming this herb.

Route 1

I gathered the most Rising Glory using this route.

Route 2

Not much worse from the first route, but you have to watch your HP while jumping down from the cliffs at the red lines. If you are not at full HP you will probably die. I recommend using a Seraph Tenders if you don't have any self-heal, or any way to prevent fall damage. The HP regen from this food is enough to keep you at max health almost all the time.
