This Pandaria Engineering leveling guide will show you the fastest way how to level your Pandaria Engineering skill up from 1 to 75 as inexpensively as possible.
Often the materials are based on a case that you will gain one skill point each craft. This won't happen, so you will have to buy a few extra materials while you are leveling your Pandaria Engineering.
Approximate Materials Required
You will make a lot of yellow recipes, so you might have to farm/buy more. As always, these are just approximate numbers.
- 406 x Ghost Iron Bar
- 60 x Windwool Cloth
- 26 x Spirit of Harmony
Farming guides: Spirit of Harmony farming, Ghost Iron Ore farming, Windwool Cloth farming.
Engineering Tools
You will need some kind of tool to craft most engineering items. These tools are:
- Blacksmith Hammer - Sold by Engineering or Blacksmith supply vendor.
- Arclight Spanner - Requires 50 skill in Vanilla Engineering to craft.
- Gyromatic Micro-Adjustor - Requires 175 skill in Vanilla Engineering to craft.
To save some bag space, I highly recommend getting a Gnomish Army Knife. It replaces all of these tools, so you only have to carry one item with you.
The Gnomish Army Knife also replaces Jeweler's Kit, Virtuoso Inking Set, Runed Copper Rod, so if you have any of these in your inventory, you can throw it out.
Where to get The Gnomish Army Knife
-
You can buy the Ultimate Gnomish Army Knife from the Auction House.
-
If you already learned Draenor engineering, you can craft one Ultimate Gnomish Army Knife for 5 Gearspring Parts. (Craft one Gearspring Parts for 15 x True Iron Ore, 15 x Blackrock Ore. It will actually create 8 Gearspring Parts).
-
You can also craft Gnomish Army Knife if you have Northrend Engineering, but it's usually more expensive to make or buy.
Leveling Pandaria Engineering
Go to Pandaria and find Sally Fizzlefury in Valley of the Four Winds at Nesingwary's Safari, then learn Pandaria Engineering.
Gnome characters have +15 Engineering skill because of their passive Engineering Specialization. An extra 15 Engineering skill means recipes stay orange 15 points longer, so you can save a lot of gold by doing lower level recipes for 15 more points.
1 - 25
You will use these later on, so make all of them now, but you might even need to make more of them.
- 112 x 2 x Ghost Iron Bolts - 336 Ghost Iron Bar
- 70 x High-Explosive Gunpowder - 70 Ghost Iron Bar
25 - 55
30 x Tinker's Kit - 60 High-Explosive Gunpowder, 60 Ghost Iron Bolts, 60 Windwool Cloth
You might have to make a few more to reach 55.
55 - 62
10 x Thermal Anvil - 80 High-Explosive Gunpowder, 60 Ghost Iron Bolts
You should make Mirror Scope until it turns green if you have some Lapis Lazuli.
62 - 75
13 x Mist-Piercing Goggles - 104 Ghost Iron Bolts, 26 Spirit of Harmony
You can get Spirit of Harmony by combining 10 Mote of Harmony. Motes are dropped by every mob in Pandaria, even in dungeons. The drop rate is low, so it may take you 10 minutes to collect 10 motes, but you can buy these from the Auction House, or check out my Spirit of Harmony Farming Guide, if you want to farm them.
If you can't buy or don't want to farm that many Spirit of Harmony, you can keep making Thermal Anvil for a few more points, but the recipe will be green. Sometimes I just didn't get a single skill point for 8 crafts.
I hope you liked this Pandaria Engineering leveling guide, congratulations on reaching 75!
