Midnight Alchemy Leveling Guide 1-100

This Midnight Alchemy leveling guide will show you the fastest and cheapest way to level Alchemy from 1 to 100. I'll cover the trainer location, a full shopping list for the early levels, and the best recipes to craft at every skill level. I recommend checking the shopping list before you start so you can buy everything at once from the Auction House.

Alchemy pairs best with Herbalism because you can farm all the herbs yourself instead of buying them. If you don't have Herbalism, you will need a lot of gold to buy everything from the Auction House.

Shopping List

These are the approximate materials needed to level from 1 to 50. I didn't include 50-100 because there are too many variables at that point. It depends on your specialization, which recipes you have, and AH prices. The quality doesn't matter for leveling, so buy the cheapest.

Some recipes are yellow, so you might need a few extra crafts.

Leveling 1 - 50

Goblin characters have +5 Alchemy skill because of their passive Better Living Through Chemistry, and Kul Tiran characters have +2 from Jack of All Trades. Any extra skill means recipes stay orange for more points, so you can save some gold by doing lower-level recipes longer.

Specializations

You unlock your first specialization at 25 skill. Check out my Midnight Alchemy Specialization Guide for detailed builds and where to spend your Knowledge Points.

27 - 50

  • 27-32

8x Entropic Extract - 24x Tranquility Bloom, 40x Sunglass Vial

Reaching 32 is not important, this is just an estimate.

  • 32-50

30x Silvermoon Health Potion - 180x Tranquility Bloom, 150x Sunglass Vial

The recipe will be yellow, so you might not reach 50, but it's not that important unless you need it to unlock recipes or another specialization, you can just move on to the next part.

Leveling 50 - 100

You can level to 100 with potions, flasks, or transmutes, so it doesn't matter which spec you chose.

Potions and transmutes give 1 skill point per craft, turning yellow at 80 and green at 90. Flasks give 2 skill points per craft until 90, then yellow until 95 and green after that. These are just estimates, you might need a few extra crafts.

Potions

The easiest one is to unlock the Light's Potential from Camberon's Cauldron and craft that until 100. It costs 50x Artisan Alchemist's Moxie and a few other materials, but it's a pretty cheap craft and gives you a useful potion to use or sell.

~80x Light's Potential - 80x Mote of Light, 640x Tranquility Bloom, 240x Azeroot, 240x Argentleaf, 400x Sunglass Vial

Flasks

If you have the flask specialization unlocked, you can also just craft flasks until 100. This is a bit more expensive and requires more materials, but it's also pretty easy and gives you useful flasks to use or sell.

Where to get Flask recipes

Flask of Thalassian Resistance is unlocked from the flask specialization, but the other three are unlocked from Camberon's Cauldron.

Recipe Unlock Moxie Cost
Flask of the Blood Knights Drink a Flask of Thalassian Resistance. 50x Moxie
Flask of the Magisters Craft Sin'dorei flasks 10 times 50x Moxie
Flask of the Shattered Sun Craft Sin'dorei flasks 10 times 50x Moxie

Transmutes

School of Gems, Bouquet of Herbs and Box of Rocks give skill points all the way up to 100.

Without knowing the prices it's hard to recommend just one. I'll just leave these here so you can check the prices and decide which one is the best for you. These give materials back, so they might be a pretty good way to level, but we'll only know once prices stabilize after launch.
