This Dragonflight Jewelcrafting leveling guide will show you the fastest and easiest way how to level your Dragon Isles Jewelcrafting skill up from 1 to 100.
Jewelcrafting is the best combined with Mining because you can save a lot of gold if you gather the materials instead of buying them. You can check out my Mining leveling guide if you want to level Mining.
Dragonflight Jewelcrafting Trainers
- Journalist Jessamine Spitz in The Waking Shores.
- Talendara in Valdrakken.
- Custodian Cynegos in The Azura Span.
New Dragonflight Jewelcrafting features
There are a lot of new stats added to professions in Dragonflight, so here is a quick explanation for some of these.
Recipe Difficulty
Recipe Difficulty shows you how much profession skill is required to make a recipe at the highest quality. You can see your current profession Skill below the Recipe Difficulty stat. Your Skill comes from your base profession skill, specializations, profession equipment, racials, and using high-quality reagents. So, your profession skill can go well above 100.
Item Quality
Every crafted piece of Jewelcrafting equipement have 5 different qualities. Jewelcrafting Crafted Reagents, Enchantments, and Consumable items have 3 different qualities.
Basically, if you have higher skill, you can make higher ilvl gear, higher quality consumables that give more stat, and higher quality reagents that give more profession skill when used in recipes.
Inspiration, Multicraft, Resourcefulness
- Inspiration: Each time you craft something, there is a chance you get Inspired and craft the recipe with some bonus profession skill, so you can basically craft an item with higher quality than you could normally. This stat is only helpful when you craft recipes with higher Recipe Difficulty than your current Skill.
- Resourcefulness: You have a chance to use fewer reagents.
- Multicraft: You have a chance to craft additional items. (doesn't work on crafted gear, only consumables, and reagents)
Dragon Isles Jewelcrafting Knowledge
Dragon Isles Jewelcrafting Knowledge points are the "talent points" that you can put into your profession specialization to learn new skills, stats, and bonuses.
Crafting Orders
Crafting Orders are a new way for players to request a crafter to craft something for them. The interface basically looks like the Auction House, but instead of players posting Auctions, it will be filled with Crafting Orders that you can complete as a Jewelcrafter.
Completing crafting orders can give you skill points if you complete orders for items that would normally give you a skill point.
Commission
Players posting the Crafting Orders can set a commission for the crafter who completes their order. But since they are also providing the reagents for the items, the commission will probably be pretty low for trainer-taught and common recipes.
How to Complete Crafting Orders
Clicking on the Crafting Orders tab at the bottom of your profession window will open up the Crafting Order UI, where you can browse Crafting Orders posted by other players. You must be near a Crafting Table for your profession to be able to access Crafting Orders.
Jewelcrafting Crafting Table location
You can find the Jewelcrafting crafting table in Valdrakken at the location marked in the picture below.

Racial Bonuses
Draenei characters have +10 Jewelcrafting skill because of their passive, and Kul Tiran characters have +5 from. Any extra Jewelcrafting skill means recipes stay orange for more points. You can save some gold by doing lower level recipes for more points.

This is the total list of materials required to reach 30. The 30-100 part is not included here because there are too many alternative recipes you can use.

Jewelcrafting Specializations
When you hit 25, you will unlock Specializations. I would suggest having a little bit of a look through the specializations. Spend some time reading through them, then choose which direction you might want to go.
But don't be too hasty with spending points just at this time unless you have a clear goal of which direction you wanna go. The Knowledge points are going to be the limited commodity that you will never be able to get enough of, and you will always want more of. You can continue leveling your profession and return to choosing a specialization and spending knowledge points a bit later.
You will need 50 skill points to unlock the second specialization, 65 for the third, and 75 for the fourth. 50 is very easy to reach, but it may take you a little while to level all the way to 75. So, be aware that you will have to choose which one you feel you can do without for the longest.
26 - 27
1x Timewatcher's Patience - x3
Fractured Glass, 4x
Eternity Amber, 1x
Silken Gemdust
27 - 30
3x Revitalizing Red Carving - 6x
Glossy Stone, 3x
Queen's Ruby, 3x
Silken Gemdust, 3x
Shimmering Clasp
You can find the Shimmering Clasp and the
Glossy Stone in the Reagent category in your profession window. You should have enough materials for these if you bought everything from the shopping list and followed the guide from the start.
Misshapen Filigree is sold by Jewelcrafting Supply vendors near your trainer or by the trainer.
30 - 75
There are only four recipes that you can learn from the trainer that can be used for leveling. The rest of them are from specializations and vendors. You should probably try to craft the gems from specializations because fewer Jewelcrafters will have access to those, so they will probably be easier to sell.
You can also try to complete Crafting Orders. But I'm not sure how many people will post Crafting Orders for gems since you can also buy them from the Auction House.
Trainer Gems
All of these gems require one Nozdorite and 1x Awakened Element.

75 - 100
The rare gems will stop giving skill points at 75, so you must get one of these recipes below if you want to level to 100.
Every recipe below except the Tiered Medallion Setting is soulbound. You should try to level with Crafting Orders because you can't sell any of them! They also require BoP mats that are not easy to farm (time-gated), so the 75-100 should be done with Crafting Orders.
