This TBC Classic Engineering leveling guide will show you the fastest and easiest way to level your Engineering skill up from 1 to 375 in Burning Crusade Classic.
Engineering is best combined with Mining, if you level Engineering and Mining together, you will save a lot of gold. Otherwise, you will have to buy everything from the Auction House.
I recommend trying Zygor's 1-70 Leveling Guide if you are still leveling your character or you just started a new alt. The guide will help you to reach level 70 a lot faster.
Playing WotLK Classic?
Use my WotLK Engineering leveling guide 1-450 instead of this guide. There are a few changes to trainers and recipes, so you should use the WotLK guide for the 1-375 part.

Engineering has the option at skill level 200 to specialize in Gnomish Engineer or
Goblin Engineer. Some items require a specific specialization to use, while other items are crafted by one specialization but are usable by any engineer. Fortunately, most recipes that are crafted by one Specialization can be worn by both.
For information on how to choose a specialization, please see my separate guide:

Gnome Engineering skill racial bonus
Gnome characters have +15 Engineering skill because of their passive Engineering Specialization. An extra 15 Engineering skill means recipes stay orange 15 points longer, so you can save a lot of gold by doing lower level recipes for 15 more points.
300 - 320
You will use all of these later, so make them now for free skill points.
- 114x
Handful of Fel Iron Bolts - 114x
Fel Iron Bar
- 20x
Elemental Blasting Powder (4) - 20x
Mote of Fire, 40x
Mote of Earth
- 52x
Fel Iron Casing - 156x
Fel Iron Bar
Crafting one Elemental Blasting Powder creates 4 powder, so you will end up with 80 in total.
320 - 325
7x Fel Iron Bomb - 7x
Fel Iron Casing, 14x
Handful of Fel Iron Bolts, 7x
Elemental Blasting Powder
You might need to make more than 7 of these if you are unlucky with the skill point gains.
325 - 335
30x Adamantite Frame - 120x
Adamantite Bar, 30x
Primal Earth
You will use all of these later but you can stop making them when you reach 335, and make more later.
If you were really unlucky and didn't reach 335 by making 30 Adamantite Frames, then make a few Adamantite Grenade until 335.
335 - 355
70x White Smoke Flare - 70x
Elemental Blasting Powder, 70x
Netherweave Cloth
This will be green for the most part, so this is just an approximate number.
Schematic: White Smoke Flare is sold by these vendors:
- Wind Trader Lathrai in Shattrath City
Captured Gnome in Zangarmarsh
Feera in Exodar
Yatheon in Silvermoon City
It's a limited supply item, so if someone bought it before you, you must wait for it to respawn, or you can check the other vendors. (around 7-10 min respawn timer)
If you are buying recipes from Feera, or
Yatheon, make sure to grab the
Adamantite Rifle recipe as well (also limited supply).
355 - 360
5x Khorium Power Core - 15x
Khorium Bar, 5x
Primal Fire
There are cheaper alternatives, but you will need these later at 370.
It's not important to reach 360 exactly, just make 5 of them and jump to the next step.
360 - 370
15x Adamantite Rifle - 45x
Fel Iron Casing, 30x
Adamantite Frame, 60x
Handful of Fel Iron Bolts
You might have to make a few more (or fewer) because the recipe will be yellow.
The recipe is sold by these vendors:
- Viggz Shinesparked in Shattrath City.
Feera in Exodar
Yatheon in Silvermoon City
It's a limited supply item, so if someone bought it before you, then you have to wait for it to respawn.
370 - 375
5x Field Repair Bot 110G - 40x
Adamantite Bar, 40x
Handful of Fel Iron Bolts, 5x
Khorium Power Core
You might have to make more than 5 because the recipe will be yellow.
The Field Repair Bot 110G recipe is dropped by Gan'arg Analyzer in Blade's Edge Mountain. There are 4 groups of these mobs, but there are around 4-5 minutes between respawns after attacking the first group. The drop chance is pretty high, you will probably get it after you clear the 4 groups the first time. The recipe won't drop twice, so make sure you don't already have it in your bank!

Congratulations on reaching 375! Please send feedback about the guide if you think there are parts I could improve or if you found typos, errors, or wrong material numbers!
