TBC Classic Engineering leveling guide 1-375 for Burning Crusade Classic

This TBC Classic Engineering leveling guide will show you the fastest and easiest way to level your Engineering skill up from 1 to 375 in Burning Crusade Classic.

Engineering is the best combined with Mining, if you level Engineering and Mining together you will save a lot of gold. If you don't have Mining you will have to buy everything from the Auction House.

Guide sections:

Preparing for TBC Classic launch

There are a lot of classic recipes that still give skill points above 300, but you will reach 320 by making the Handful of Fel Iron Bolts, Elemental Blasting Powder, and Fel Iron Casing needed to level Engineering to 375. So, there is no reason to prepare any classic materials for TBC launch because you have to craft these Engineering materials anyway and you will reach 320 for basically "free".

Approximate materials required:

This is the list of the approximate materials required to level Engineering up to 375.

TBC Classic

Engineering trainers

You can learn Engineering from any of these NPCs below. Just click on any of the links below to see the trainer's exact location. You can also walk up to a guard in any city and ask where the Engineering trainer is, and then the trainer will be marked with a red flag on your map.

Classic Trainers (1-300)

In Burning Crusade Classic, you can learn Journeyman, Expert, and Artisan Engineering from trainers in every major city. You don't have to visit different trainers anymore.

Gnome characters have +15 Engineering skill because of their passive Engineering Specialization. An extra 15 Engineering skill means recipes stay orange 15 points longer, so you can save a lot of gold by doing lower level recipes for 15 more points.

    60 x Rough Blasting Powder - 60 Rough Stone

You might even reach 40 with this recipe. You will need the 60 Rough Blasting Powder later, so keep these.

Stop making these when you reach 200. Keep 6 Mithril Tubes, because you might need them if you choose Gnomish Engineering at 200.

Artisan Engineering

Visit your trainer and learn Artisan Engineering. (Requires level 35)

Engineering has the option at skill level 200 to specialize in Gnomish Engineer or Goblin Engineer. Some items require a specific specialization to use, while other items are crafted by one specialization but are usable by any engineer. Fortunately, most recipes that are crafted by one Specialization can be worn by both.

Gnome Engineering skill racial bonus

Gnome characters have +15 Engineering skill because of their passive Engineering Specialization. An extra 15 Engineering skill means recipes stay orange 15 points longer, so you can save a lot of gold by doing lower level recipes for 15 more points.

300 - 320

You will use all of these later, so make them now for free skill points.

320 - 325

5x Fel Iron Bomb - 5x Fel Iron Casing, 10x Handful of Fel Iron Bolts, 5x Elemental Blasting Powder

You might need to make more than 5 of these if you are unlucky with the skill point gains.

325 - 335

50x Adamantite Frame - 200x Adamantite Bar, 50x Primal Earth

You will use all of these later but you can stop making them when you reach 335, and make more later.

335 - 355

40x White Smoke Flare - 40x Elemental Blasting Powder, 40x Netherweave Cloth

This will be green for the most part, so this is just an approximate number.

The recipe is sold by these vendors. If you are in Shattrath City, then Wind Trader Lathrai is the closest one. It's a limited supply item, so if someone bought it before you, then you have to wait for it for it to respawn or go check the other NPCs who sell the recipe.

355 - 370

25x Adamantite Rifle - 75x Fel Iron Casing, 50x Adamantite Frame, 100x Handful of Fel Iron Bolts

You might have to make a few more (or fewer) because the recipe will be yellow.

The recipe is sold by these NPCs. If you are in Shattrath City, then Viggz Shinesparked is the closest one. It's a limited supply item, so if someone bought it before you, then you have to wait for it to respawn or go check the other NPCs who sell the recipe.

370 - 375

Making more Adamantite Rifle is usually the cheapest way to level to 375. But there are a few alternative World drop recipes that you can try to farm.

The droprate of the recipes are higher than what wowhead lists because it's calculated from all kills, and only Engineers can see these recipes. But still, all of them have low drop rate and you will probably also have other people trying to get the recipes.

The Adamantite Rifle will be green so, you might have to make a few more. And the rest of the world drop recipes are all yellow so you might have to make a few more from those too.
