TBC Alchemy Leveling Guide 1-375 (Burning Crusade Classic)

This TBC Classic Alchemy Leveling guide will show you the fastest way to level your Alchemy skill up from 1 to 375 in Burning Crusade Classic. I recommend leveling Alchemy and Herbalism together because you can save a lot of gold if you can farm all the needed herbs. I recommend trying Zygor's 1-70 Leveling Guide if you are still leveling your character or you just started a new alt. The guide will help you to reach level 70 a lot faster.

Playing WotLK Classic?

Use my WotLK Alchemy leveling Guide instead. There are a few changes to trainers and recipes, so you should use the WotLK guide for the 1-375 part.

Approximate Materials Required:

There are many yellow recipes used in the guide, which means you won't gain skill points every time. I added 10-20 extra herbs for most of these recipes, but it's still possible you will have to get a few more if you have the worst luck.

Classic (1 - 300)

TBC (300 - 375)

105x Imbued Vial
40 x Felweed - You will only need 30 if you make classic potions for the first few levels. (read more at 300)
15 x Golden Sansam / 15 x Dreamfoil / 15 x Mountain Silversage (you only need 15 from one)
30 x Golden Sansam
5 x Terocone
100 x Dreaming Glory
10 x Netherbloom
40 x Nightmare Vine

Alchemy Trainers

You can learn Alchemy from any of the NPCs below. Click on the links below to see the trainer's exact location. You can also walk up to a guard in any city and ask where the Alchemy trainer is, and then the trainer will be marked with a red flag on your map.

Classic Trainers (1-300)

In Burning Crusade Classic, you can learn Journeyman, Expert, and Artisan Alchemy from trainers in every major city. You don't have to visit different trainers anymore.

Horde trainers:

Yelmak in Orgrimmar.
Doctor Herbert Halsey in Undercity.
Bena Winterhoof in Thunder Bluff
Camberon in Silvermoon City

Alliance trainers:

Tally Berryfizz in Ironforge.
Lilyssia Nightbreeze in Stormwind City.
Ainethil in Darnassus.
Lucc in The Exodar.

TBC Alchemy Trainers (300-375)

You can learn the new TBC Alchemy skill from the Master Alchemy trainers at Outland.

Alliance: Alchemist Gribble in Hellfire Peninsula.
Horde: Apothecary Antonivich in Hellfire Peninsula.
Both factions can learn it from Lorokeem in Shattrath City.

Leveling TBC Alchemy

1-60
65 x Minor Healing Potion - 65 Peacebloom, 65 Silverleaf, 65 Empty Vial
You'll need these later, so keep all of them.

Journeyman Alchemy

Visit your trainer and learn Journeyman Alchemy. (Requires character level 10)

65 - 110
65 x Lesser Healing Potion - 65 Minor Healing Potion, 65 Briarthorn

110 - 140
35 x Healing Potion - 35 Bruiseweed, 35 Briarthorn, 35 Leaded Vial

Expert Alchemy

Visit your trainer and learn Expert Alchemy. (Requires level 20)

140 - 210

140 - 155
20 x Lesser Mana Potion - 20 Mageroyal, 20 Stranglekelp, 20 Empty Vial
This recipe will be yellow for the last 10 points, so you might have to make a few extra.

Make Fire Oil if you don't have Stranglekelp or if Firefin Snapper is cheap. You could also continue to make more Healing Potion.

155 - 185
35 x Greater Healing Potion - 35 Liferoot, 35 Kingsblood, 35 Leaded Vial
If you made Fire Oil, you could use it to make Elixir of Firepower

185 - 210
30 x Elixir of Agility - 30 Stranglekelp, 30 Goldthorn, 30 Leaded Vial
If you don't have that many Goldthorn, make Mana Potion or Lesser Invisibility Potion up to around 195.

If you don't have any Goldthorn at all, you can make Nature Protection Potion between 190-215

Recipe: Nature Protection Potion is sold by these vendors. It's a limited supply item, so it can take a while to respawn when someone else purchases the recipe before you.

Artisan Alchemy

Visit your trainer and learn Artisan Alchemy. (Requires level 35)

210 - 300

210 - 215
5 x Elixir of Greater Defense - 5 Steelbloom, 5 Goldthorn, 5 Leaded Vial

215 - 230
15 x Superior Healing Potion - 15 Sungrass, 15 Khadgar's Whisker, 15 Crystal Vial

230 - 265
45 x Elixir of Detect Undead - 45 Arthas' Tears, 45 Crystal Vial

265 - 285
30 x Superior Mana Potion - 60 Sungrass, 60 Blindweed, 30 Crystal Vial

285 - 300
20 x Major Healing Potion - 40 Golden Sansam, 20 Mountain Silversage, 20 Crystal Vial

Burning Crusade Classic (300-375)

15 x Adept's Elixir - 15 Dreamfoil, 15 Felweed
15 x Onslaught Elixir - 15 Mountain Silversage, 15 Felweed

Alternative recipes:

If you can find cheap classic herbs, you can make a few more classic potions. But, I would only recommend making them up to 315 until you can learn Elixir of Healing Power. It's a much more useful potion that players will use in TBC during raiding, so you are not wasting your gold making almost useless potions.

17 x Major Mana Potion - 51 Dreamfoil, 34 Icecap
20 x Greater Arcane Elixir - 60 Dreamfoil, 20 Mountain Silversage
17 x Greater Fire Protection Potion - 17 Elemental Fire, 17 Dreamfoil
17 x Greater Arcane Protection Potion - 17 Dream Dust, 17 Dreamfoil

315 - 330

25 x Elixir of Healing Power - 25 Golden Sansam, 25 Dreaming Glory

Alchemy Specializations

Once you reach Alchemy skill 325 and level 68, you may begin a quest to learn one of three specializations: Potion, Elixir, or Transmutation.

330 - 335

5 x Elixir of Draenic Wisdom - 5 Terocone, 5 Felweed

Make Mad Alchemist's Potion if you have a lot of Ragveil.

335 - 340

5 x Super Healing Potion - 10 Netherbloom, 5 Felweed

Make the previous recipe 5 more times if you don't have Netherbloom.

340 - 355

15 x Super Mana Potion - 30 Dreaming Glory, 15 Felweed

Recipe: Super Mana Potion is sold by Daga Ramba and Haalrun.

IMPORTANT: Horde players should also buy Recipe: Major Dreamless Sleep Potion because you will need it in the next step.

355 - 375

40 x Major Dreamless Sleep Potion - 40 Dreaming Glory, 40 Nightmare Vine

Recipe: Major Dreamless Sleep Potion is sold by Daga Ramba and Leeli Longhaggle

This recipe will be green for the last 3 points, so you might have to make more.

Alternative recipe:

40x Elixir of Major Shadow Power - 40 Ancient Lichen, 40 Nightmare Vine

This is a much better potion if you can buy the recipe. Shadow Priests and Warlocks use Elixir of Major Shadow Power for raiding, so you can easily sell all of these at the Auction House.

The recipe is sold by Nakodu at Shattrath City. You will need a Revered reputation with the Lower City faction to buy the recipe.
