Merchant's Favor, Durotar Supply & Azeroth Commerce Authority Reputation

This WoW Forever Merchant's Favor guide will show you where the Durotar Supply and Logistics and Azeroth Commerce Authority camps are, how you earn Merchant's Favor and reputation with them, and every recipe their vendors sell.

How It Works

Waylaid Crates drop randomly in the open world, and you can also buy them on the Auction House. You fill a crate with the materials it asks for and hand it in at your camp. For that you get Merchant's Favor, the currency you buy the recipes with.

Many recipes also need reputation with the camp. For reputation you do Craftsman's Writs. You get a writ, craft the item it asks for and bring it to the customer.

Where the Camps Are

The Horde camp belongs to Durotar Supply and Logistics, the Alliance camp to the Azeroth Commerce Authority. Each camp has a recipe vendor for every crafting profession and Cooking, and both camps sell the same recipes (see Recipes by Profession below).

How to Earn Merchant's Favor

You earn Merchant's Favor by filling Waylaid Crates with materials and bringing them to your camp.

Merchant's Favor is per character, so every character has to earn its own.

Filling a Waylaid Crate

1. Find a Waylaid Crate. They drop randomly in the open world, and you can also buy them on the Auction House. Each one asks for one kind of material, for example Waylaid Crate: Apprentice Textiles.
2. Right-click it and fill it with one of the bundles it lists, for example 40 Linen Cloth or 20 Light Leather (see Waylaid Crates and Rewards below). You get a Sealed crate, and that one binds to you.
3. Bring the Sealed crate to Dokimi at the Horde camp or Marcy Baker at the Alliance camp. You get Merchant's Favor and some silver for it.

Waylaid Crates and Rewards

When you fill a Waylaid Crate, it turns into a Sealed crate of the same rank and colour. You hand that one in at your camp for the Merchant's Favor in the last column. There are also blue Sealed crates and a Sealed Elite Crate, but I don't know yet what they give.

The Textiles, Ore, Herbs and Curiosities crates take raw materials, the Fabrics, Ingots and Parts crates take crafted ones.

Apprentice Journeyman Expert Artisan

You need level 10 to open these.

How to Earn Reputation

Handing in Sealed crates doesn't give reputation. Reputation comes from Craftsman's Writs, crafting orders that you deliver to a customer somewhere in the world. After reaching Friendly, empty Waylaid Crates give reputation too (see Crate Returns below).

The first time you fill a crate or start a writ, you also get a Shipping Label. Its quest to your camp gives 2,000 reputation and 50 Merchant's Favor.

Craftsman's Writs

A Journeyman writ gives 75 reputation, an Expert writ 125 and an Artisan writ 200.

1. Get a Craftsman's Writ. In the open world they drop as a Sealed Journeyman's Writ, Sealed Expert's Writ or Sealed Artisan's Writ, an envelope with a random writ of that rank inside. You can also buy writs on the Auction House.
2. Right-click the writ to start its quest, for example Craftsman's Writ: Lesser Wizard's Robe.
3. Make the item it asks for or buy it on the Auction House. You don't need the profession yourself.
4. Bring the item to the customer, your map shows where. The customer takes the item and the writ, and you get the reputation and a Coin Pouch with some silver. Writs don't give Merchant's Favor.
   The customer has no question mark over their head. Right-click them anyway and the window to hand in the writ opens. This might be a beta bug, because the customer is marked while the quest is not completed yet.

You can do each writ once a day, and as many different writs a day as you want. There are writs for Alchemy, Blacksmithing, Engineering, Leatherworking and Tailoring items.

If you don't want a writ, a Forger's Quill turns it into a random writ of the same rank. The Uncertified Scribe in your camp sells it for 15 Merchant's Favor once you are Honored.

Crate Returns

After reaching Friendly, you can turn empty Waylaid Crates into reputation. Each one gives 50.

1. Buy a Forged Delivery Receipt. The Uncertified Scribe in your camp sells it for 15 Merchant's Favor.
2. Buy a Waylaid Crate on the Auction House. It seems the receipt works on any of them, so buy the cheapest one.
3. Use the receipt on the crate. You get a Notarized Shipping Container.
4. Hand the container to the same NPC who takes your Sealed crates. You get the reputation and 1 silver.

Recipes by Profession

Both camps sell the same recipes. Pick your profession, and the tabs inside it sort the recipes by who they are for, so you can find what fits your class. The cost is in Merchant's Favor, and almost every recipe binds on pickup, so you have to buy it with your own.
