WoW Forever Tailoring Leveling Guide 1-300

This WoW Forever Tailoring leveling guide will show you the fastest and cheapest way to level your Tailoring skill from 1 to 300. You will also find every trainer location and where to train Tailoring past 75, 150 and 225.

Below you will find the full shopping list, the Tailoring trainers by starting zone and capital city, and the cheapest recipes for every skill range from Apprentice to Artisan. Tailoring uses cloth as its main material, but cloth drops from humanoids, so you don't need a gathering profession and you can combine Tailoring with anything. Enchanting is a popular choice because you can disenchant the things you make while leveling and use the dust to level Enchanting.

Shopping List

These numbers are estimates. Once a recipe turns yellow you won't get a skill point from every craft, so you might need a few more or a few less.

NOTE: Most trainers have a Tailoring Supply vendor nearby that sells the threads and dyes, except the trainer in Tirisfal Glades. For that one, buy the Coarse Thread in Brill from Abigail Shiel.

An alternative replaces the whole row, so buy the one that is cheaper.

Tailoring Trainer Locations

Apprentice Tailoring has no level requirement in Forever right now, so you can learn it on a fresh character.

Capital Cities

Every capital city has a trainer. You can also ask a guard, then it will be marked with a red flag on your map.

Not every zone has a trainer, the table shows the closest one for each race.

Apprentice Tailoring (1-55)

• 1-30
  30x Bolt of Linen Cloth - 60 Linen Cloth

  Keep the bolts, you need all of them for the belts.

• 30-55
  28x Linen Belt - 28 Bolt of Linen Cloth, 28 Coarse Thread

Journeyman Tailoring (55-125)

To train past 75, visit one of these trainers and learn Journeyman Tailoring, it requires Tailoring 50 and level 10:

• 55-80
  45x Bolt of Woolen Cloth - 135 Wool Cloth

  You can reach past 75 with these, so learn Journeyman Tailoring before you start, especially if you go AFK while crafting.

  Make all 45, you need every one of them for the next steps.

• 80-95
  22x Woolen Cape - 22 Bolt of Woolen Cloth, 22 Fine Thread

  If the bolts already took you past 80, just make capes until 95.

• 95-100
  5x Double-stitched Woolen Shoulders - 15 Bolt of Woolen Cloth, 10 Fine Thread

• 100-120
  40x Bolt of Silk Cloth - 160 Silk Cloth

  Keep the bolts, you will need them later. In total you will need 176 Bolt of Silk Cloth (704 Silk Cloth) until 190, so you can also make all of them now.

  Beta Note: If you don't plan to level past 150 on the beta, skip the bolts and make the shoulders until 125 instead:

  29x Double-stitched Woolen Shoulders - 87 Bolt of Woolen Cloth, 58 Fine Thread

• 120-125
  8x Double-stitched Woolen Shoulders - 24 Bolt of Woolen Cloth, 16 Fine Thread

  They are yellow here, so you might need one or two more.

Expert Tailoring (125-225)

To train past 150, visit Josef Gregorian in Undercity (Horde) or Georgio Bolero in Stormwind City (Alliance) and learn Expert Tailoring, it requires Tailoring 125 and level 20 and costs 50 silver.

• 125-140
  20x Gloves of Meditation - 80 Bolt of Woolen Cloth, 60 Fine Thread, 20 Elixir of Wisdom

  The gloves are yellow the whole way, so you might need a few more.

  You can buy Elixir of Wisdom from the Auction House or ask an Alchemist.

• 140-150
  17x Bolt of Mageweave - 85 Mageweave Cloth

  Keep the bolts, you will need them later. In total you will need 180 Bolt of Mageweave (900 Mageweave Cloth) until 225, so you can also make all of them now.

  Alternative:

  Mageweave Cloth only drops from level 40 mobs, so on the beta it's rare and expensive, and the bolts will probably only be worth it on live. I don't know yet how fast people will reach 40 on live, so I will update this part once Forever is out. Until then, keep making the gloves until 150:

  31x Gloves of Meditation instead - 124 Bolt of Woolen Cloth, 93 Fine Thread, 31 Elixir of Wisdom.

  The gloves are green from 140, so you might need a few more.

  20x Crimson Silk Vest - 80 Bolt of Silk Cloth, 40 Red Dye, 40 Fine Thread

• 170-190
  24x Crimson Silk Pantaloons - 96 Bolt of Silk Cloth, 48 Red Dye, 48 Silken Thread

  The pants turn yellow at 180, so the last 10 points take around 14 crafts.

Beta Note: Buy Bolt of Mageweave from the Auction House, Mageweave Cloth is very rare on the beta.

• 190-215
  38x Black Mageweave Gloves - 76 Bolt of Mageweave, 76 Heavy Silken Thread

  These are yellow from 195 and green from 210, so you will probably need a few extra.

• 215-225
  26x Mageweave Bag - 104 Bolt of Mageweave, 52 Silken Thread

Artisan Tailoring (225-300)

To train past 225, visit Daryl Stack in Tarren Mill, Hillsbrad Foothills (Horde) or Timothy Worthington in Theramore Isle, Dustwallow Marsh (Alliance) and learn Artisan Tailoring, it requires Tailoring 200 and level 35.
