WoW Forever Blacksmithing Leveling Guide 1-300

This WoW Forever Blacksmithing leveling guide will show you the fastest and cheapest way to level your Blacksmithing skill from 1 to 300. You will also find every trainer location and where to train Blacksmithing past 75, 150 and 225.

Below you will find the full shopping list, the Blacksmithing trainers by starting zone and capital city, and the cheapest recipes for every skill range from Apprentice to Artisan. Blacksmithing uses a lot of ore, so I recommend leveling it together with Mining, you will need a lot of gold if you want to buy everything from the Auction House.

Shopping List

These numbers are estimates. Once a recipe turns yellow you won't get a skill point from every craft, so you might need a few more or a few less.

An alternative replaces the whole row, so buy the one that is cheaper.

Blacksmithing Trainer Locations

Apprentice Blacksmithing has no level requirement in Forever right now, so you can learn it on a fresh character.

Capital Cities

Every capital city has a trainer except Darnassus. You can also ask a guard, then it will be marked with a red flag on your map.

Not every zone has a trainer, the table shows the closest one for each race.

Apprentice Blacksmithing (1-75)

Buy a Blacksmith Hammer when you learn Blacksmithing, most recipes need it, so you can craft gear for yourself while you level. It costs a few copper, open your faction below to see who sells it closest to your trainer.

  30x Rough Sharpening Stone - 30 Rough Stone

  30x Rough Grinding Stone - 60 Rough Stone

  Keep 26 of them, you need 16 for the gauntlets and 10 if you make the Silver Rods at 75.

  36x Coarse Grinding Stone - 72 Coarse Stone

  Make all 36, you will need them for the bracers at 95.

  8x Runed Copper Gauntlets - 64 Copper Bar, 16 Rough Grinding Stone

  You need the Blacksmith Hammer from here on.

Journeyman Blacksmithing (75-150)

To train past 75, visit one of these trainers and learn Journeyman Blacksmithing, it requires Blacksmithing 50 and level 10:

• 75-80
  5x Runed Copper Belt - 50 Copper Bar

  Make 5x Silver Rod instead (1 Silver Bar, 2 Rough Grinding Stone each) if you have Silver Bars or one costs less than 10 Copper Bars.

• 80-95
  15x Rough Bronze Leggings - 90 Bronze Bar

• 95-100
  5x Patterned Bronze Bracers - 25 Bronze Bar, 10 Coarse Grinding Stone

  Use the Coarse Grinding Stones you made at 50.

• 100-112
  20x Heavy Grinding Stone - 60 Heavy Stone

  Keep them, you might need them later.

• 112-125
  13x Patterned Bronze Bracers - 65 Bronze Bar, 26 Coarse Grinding Stone

• 125-140
  24x Bronze Shortsword - 120 Bronze Bar, 96 Weak Flux, 48 Medium Leather

  Weak Flux and the Strong Flux for the Bronze Warhammers (140-165) are sold by the Blacksmithing Supply vendor right next to the Blacksmithing trainer in every capital city.

Expert Blacksmithing (150-225)

To train past 150, visit Saru Steelfury in Orgrimmar (Horde) or Bengus Deepforge in Ironforge (Alliance) and learn Expert Blacksmithing, it requires Blacksmithing 125 and level 20 and costs 50 silver.

  40x Solid Grinding Stone - 160 Solid Stone

  Make all 40, you will need 21 of them for the helms at 215. They turn green at 180, so only a few of them give you a point.

  Beta Note: If you don't plan to level past 215 and 2 Solid Stone cost a lot more than 1 Steel Bar, make these instead of the stones:

  10x Golden Scale Bracers instead - 50 Steel Bar, 20 Heavy Grinding Stone.

  Use the Heavy Grinding Stones you made at 100.

  36x Mithril Plate Pants - 432 Mithril Bar

• 215-225
  21x Steel Plate Helm - 294 Steel Bar, 21 Solid Grinding Stone

  They turn green at 220, so you might need a few more.

  Alternative:

  Plans: Mithril Spurs is a world drop, look for it on the Auction House. If you get it, make this instead:

  10x Mithril Spurs - 40 Mithril Bar, 30 Solid Grinding Stone.

  Use 30 of the Solid Grinding Stones you made at 175.

Artisan Blacksmithing (225-300)

To train past 225, visit Brikk Keencraft in Booty Bay, Stranglethorn Vale and learn Artisan Blacksmithing, it requires Blacksmithing 200 and level 35, both factions learn it there.
