WoW Forever Blacksmithing Leveling Guide 1-300

This WoW Forever Blacksmithing leveling guide will show you the fastest and cheapest way to level your Blacksmithing skill from 1 to 300. You will also find every trainer location and where to train Blacksmithing past 75, 150 and 225.

Below you will find the full shopping list, the Blacksmithing trainers by starting zone and capital city, and the cheapest recipes for every skill range from Apprentice to Artisan. Blacksmithing uses a lot of ore, so I recommend leveling it together with Mining, you will need a lot of gold if you want to buy everything from the Auction House.

Shopping List

These numbers are estimates. Once a recipe turns yellow you won't get a skill point from every craft, so you might need a few more or a few less.

• 25x Medium Leather
• 25x Strong Flux (vendor)
• The list stops at 150. With the beta level cap where it is, that is as far as most people will get for now. I will extend it when the cap goes up.

Blacksmithing Trainer Locations

Apprentice Blacksmithing has no level requirement in Forever right now, so you can learn it on a fresh character.

Capital Cities

Every capital city has a trainer except Darnassus. You can also ask a guard, then it will be marked with a red flag on your map.

Starting Zones

Not every zone has a trainer, the table shows the closest one for each race.

Human	Elwynn Forest	Smith Argus in Goldshire, across from the inn

Night Elf	Teldrassil	There is no Blacksmithing trainer in Teldrassil or Darnassus, the closest one is Delfrum Flintbeard in Auberdine, Darkshore
Skyborne	Zephras Isle	Daeann Steelwind in Valanaar, Aedi Thriceforged in Shen'dar Village

Apprentice Blacksmithing (1-75)

• 1-25
  30x Rough Sharpening Stone - 30 Rough Stone

  Yellow from 15, so the last ones won't all give a point.

• 25-50
  30x Rough Grinding Stone - 60 Rough Stone

  Keep 10 of them, you need them for the gauntlets.

  Yellow from 45, so the last few won't all give a point.

• 50-70
  60x Coarse Grinding Stone - 120 Coarse Stone

  Make all 60 here, you need every one of them for the bracers at 95. They turn green at 62, so the last ones give few points, but Coarse Stone is cheap and you need the stones anyway.

• 70-75
  5x Runed Copper Gauntlets - 40 Copper Bar, 10 Rough Grinding Stone

  You need a Blacksmith Hammer from here on, if you haven't bought one already. Blacksmithing Supply and Trade Supply vendors near your trainer sell it for a few copper.

Journeyman Blacksmithing (75-150)

You can only train Blacksmithing past 75 if you learn Journeyman Blacksmithing. It requires Blacksmithing 50 and level 10, and not every trainer teaches it, you have to find an Expert Blacksmith.

  5x Runed Copper Belt - 50 Copper Bar

  Make 5x Silver Rod instead (1 Silver Bar, 2 Rough Grinding Stone each) if you have Silver Bars or one costs less than 10 Copper Bars. Enchanters need one each, so you might be able to sell them.

• 80-95
  15x Rough Bronze Leggings - 90 Bronze Bar

• 95-125
  30x Patterned Bronze Bracers - 150 Bronze Bar, 60 Coarse Grinding Stone

  Use the Coarse Grinding Stones you made at 50.

• 125-150
  25x Bronze Warhammer - 200 Bronze Bar, 25 Strong Flux, 25 Medium Leather

  Strong Flux is sold by Blacksmithing Supply vendors near your trainer.

Expert Blacksmithing (150-225)

To become an Expert Blacksmith you need Blacksmithing 125 and level 20, then find an Expert Blacksmithing trainer. It costs 50 silver.

You can learn Expert Blacksmithing from Saru Steelfury in Orgrimmar (Horde) and Bengus Deepforge in Ironforge (Alliance).

Artisan Blacksmithing (225-300)

To train Blacksmithing past 225 you need Blacksmithing 200 and level 35, then find an Artisan Blacksmithing trainer. Both factions learn it from Brikk Keencraft in Booty Bay, Stranglethorn Vale.
