WoW Forever First Aid Leveling Guide 1-300

This WoW Forever First Aid leveling guide will show you the fastest way to level your First Aid skill from 1 to 300. You will also find every trainer location and where to train First Aid past 150 and 225.

First Aid does not take up one of your two profession slots, so every character can learn it. Bandages heal you between fights, and in Forever First Aid also makes the healing potions that used to be Alchemy recipes, so it's worth leveling on every character. Below you will find the shopping list, the First Aid trainers by starting zone and capital city, and the cheapest recipes for every skill range.

This guide is still in progress. Everything in this guide comes from the Forever beta clients. Materials and skill requirements can still change before launch.

Shopping List

These numbers are estimates. Once a recipe turns yellow you won't get a skill point from every craft, so you might need a few more or a few less.

First Aid Trainer Locations

Apprentice First Aid has no level requirement in Forever right now, so you can learn it on a fresh character. Every trainer also teaches Journeyman First Aid, so you don't have to find a different trainer at 50.

Capital Cities

Every capital city has a trainer. You can also ask a guard, then it will be marked with a red flag on your map.

Why I recommend Healing Potions

I recommend making potions instead of bandages whenever there is a potion recipe. They can cost a bit more, but a healing potion is a lot more useful than a bandage while you level, and you make so many of them that you don't have to be stingy with them.

Where there is no potion recipe, the route makes bandages for those few points. The shopping list follows this route.

If you don't want the potions, the cloth from leveling your character is usually enough to level First Aid with bandages./p>

Apprentice First Aid (1-75)

Journeyman First Aid (75-150)

Learn Journeyman First Aid before you reach 75, otherwise you can't train past it. You need First Aid 50 and level 10 for it.

    30x Lesser Healing Potion - 30 Briarthorn, 60 Mild Spices, 30 Empty Vial

    Yellow, so count on a few extra.

  • 110-135
    25x Healing Potion - 25 Bruiseweed, 25 Hot Spices, 25 Leaded Vial
  • 135-150
    25x Heavy Wool Bandage - 50 Wool Cloth

    It's yellow the whole way, so count on a few extra.

Expert First Aid (150-225)

Learn Silk Bandage from your trainer before you leave, it's the last recipe the trainers teach.

How to learn Expert First Aid

Past 150 you need the Expert First Aid - Under Wraps book, it requires First Aid 125. Right-click it in your bags and you can keep making Silk Bandages.

The book is sold by Deneb Walker (Alliance) in Arathi Highlands and Balai Lok'Wein (Horde) in Dustwallow Marsh. They also sell the next two manuals, so buy all three while you are there, or get them from the Auction House if you are low level:

  • 150-155
    5x Silk Bandage - 5 Silk Cloth

    It's yellow, so count on one or two more.

  • 155-180
    25x Greater Healing Potion - 25 Liferoot, 75 Hot Spices, 25 Leaded Vial

    The recipe is Manual: Greater Healing Potion. It's probably a drop from higher level mobs, I haven't seen one yet because of the beta level cap.

    It turns yellow at 175, so count on a few extra.

  • 180-210
    40x Heavy Silk Bandage - 80 Silk Cloth

    Use the Manual: Heavy Silk Bandage first to learn the recipe. It's yellow the whole way, so you won't get a point from every craft.

  • 210-215
    5x Mageweave Bandage - 5 Mageweave Cloth

    Use the Manual: Mageweave Bandage first to learn the recipe.

Artisan First Aid (225-300)

You can train First Aid past 225 by completing the Triage quest. It requires First Aid 225 and level 35.

This part is not tested yet. First Aid kept every skill range from Classic, so the route from my Classic guide should work here as it is. I couldn't test it because of the beta level cap, so treat everything below as untested until Forever is live, and send feedback if something is off.

The quest is given by Doctor Gregory Victor in Arathi Highlands at Hammerfall (Horde) and Doctor Gustaf VanHowzen in Dustwallow Marsh at Theramore (Alliance). You get a stack of triage bandages and have to save 15 patients, heal the critically injured ones first.

How to complete the Triage quest

  1. Press CTRL + V to show the health bars over the patients, or turn on "Show NPC names" in the interface options.
  2. Zoom the camera out to third person, so you see as much of the room as you can.
  3. Put the Triage Bandages the doctor gave you on your action bar and use those, not your own bandages.
  4. Stand in the middle of the room.
  5. When you have saved 15 patients, turn in the quest immediately. I failed it on my druid because I waited, six patients died in the meantime and the quest went from completed to failed.
  • 225-240
    16x Superior Healing Potion - 16 Sungrass, 16 Soothing Spices, 16 Crystal Vial

    It turns yellow at 230, so count on a few extra.

  • 275-300
    30x Major Healing Potion - 30 Golden Sansam, 90 Soothing Spices, 30 Crystal Vial

    The recipe is Manual: Major Healing Potion, probably a drop from higher level mobs, I haven't seen one yet.

    It's orange until 290 and yellow from there.
