This page lists everything WoW Forever adds or changes for Mining compared to Classic: the new ore and veins, the Scarce materials, the two new bars, the Molten Foundry and the Mining camp items.

Quality of Life Changes
There are a few quality of life changes for Mining in WoW Forever compared to Classic:
- Ores stack to 20 instead of 10.
- Every starting zone has a Mining trainer now, but these Junior Mining Trainers only teach up to 75 and no smelting.
- The starting areas have Poor Copper Veins, and Teldrassil has Chunks of Amber, so Night Elves can start mining at home. Both give Copper Ore, but the small ones only give skill points up to 20.
New Ores
WoW Forever added one new ore and three Scarce materials.

New Bars
You need Heavy Thorium Ore to make 
Heavy Thorium Bar and Pitchblende to make 
Azerothium Bar, the two new bars for endgame recipes. You can learn both smelts from any Mining trainer.
Smelt Heavy Thorium needs a Molten Foundry, and the only one I know of is the Mining camp item. (see Camp Items below)

Molten Foundry |
The new bars are mostly for Blacksmithing recipes, but a few Engineering recipes use them too. Alchemists can also transmute Heavy Thorium Bars into 
Legionite Bar.
Camp Items
Lodestone, Rock Garden and Molten Foundry are camp items that you place next to a Campfire. You can read more about them in my Camping guide.
